PROMOTING HEALTHIER AND HAPPIER MARRIAGES
FISCAL-NICS in collaboration with other Faith Based Organizations – FBOs (Archdiocesan Family Life Commission (AFLC) – Roman Catholic, FLC – Anglican, Presbyterian, Orisha Shrine, Flaming Word Ministries, Muslim and Hindu Communities and the Seventh Day Adventist) are working together to build awareness of Marital Issues.
We are convinced that this would improve marital relations in T & T by promoting healthier Marriages and fostering family values within our communities.
Our aim is to foster happier marriages which would create an atmosphere of comfort and love for our children teaching them that . healthy marriages foster functional families and build stronger communities and nations.
It is necessary for our youth to understand that they must prepare for marriage. This would enable them to understand that communication, commitment, dedication and responsibility are all skills required for functioning in a marriage.
During the week of June 21st to 27th 2014 all participating FBOs will be promoting Marriage Week in the form of Lectures, Sermons, Media Releases, TV programs and other means to help strengthen positive family relationships within the homes. Counseling as a means of resolving marital issues will also be strongly promoted.
