The Marriage Encounter (ME) movement has been in existence for the past 34 years. During this time we have seen many marriage unions grow ever stronger through couples’ participation in a ME weekend. These weekends have provided the “nutrients for the soil”, which has helped with the growth of these marriages.
34 years is a long time, and ME may not be seen as effectively addressing the needs of the younger couples of today. Different challenges face us today as married couples, with our time being divided between heavy workloads and children’s activities, only occasionally squeezing in the time to re-connect with our spouses.
To ensure that the ME movement remains relevant and moving forward, we would like to hear from you, especially from those couples who have had a ME experience within the last 10 years. Encountered couples are invited to join the national team on November 3 for a day of reflection and dialogue, focusing on how, as a movement, we can help meet your needs as married couples in today’s world.
The day starts at 10.00 a.m. and ends at 3.00 p.m. The venue is in Champs Fleurs and a map will be posted on Facebook. Keep checking the Facebook page, WWMETT, for regular updates on this event.
Confirm attendance at wwmett@gmail.com, or by calling 683-8843.
In keeping with true ME style, bring something to share.
