The following is a letter to the Trinidad Guardian by Dr Peter Gentle highlighting pertinent issues facing the education system related to sexuality. Dr Gentle, a medical doctor, is the coordinator for the Human Sexuality Ministry. 

Dear Editor: It is with great sadness that I have been reading about the state of our nation in recent weeks. While we have been hosting international vice-presidents and presidents, important decisions, happenings and statements relating to our children, our behaviour and our sexuality, survival and future have been happening almost daily with little apparent interest or comment.
