Every marriage strengthened, every parent encouraged, every engaged couple prepared for their vows, and every family supported through a difficult season is part of the mission of the Archdiocesan Family Life Commission (AFLC).
Through its varied initiatives, AFLC accompanies individuals and families at every stage of life. Its ministries include family accompaniment, marriage and parenting formation, preparation for engaged couples, support for separated and divorced persons, companionship for the widowed, support for families with special needs and counselling for families facing challenging circumstances.
Today, AFLC is inviting you to become a Steward to continue ministry to those who need them most. Stewardship begins in gratitude. It matures into responsibility. It bears fruit in mission. It is not first about money, it is the grateful response of a disciple who knows that everything he has, everything she possesses, was entrusted by God. And it moves us from simply belonging… to truly participating.
By making a financial commitment of $100.00 per month for six months, Stewards become active partners in the mission of passing on the faith by strengthening marriages empowering persons who are separated, divorced or widowed, equipping parents and accompanying families throughout the Archdiocese. Every contribution helps make this important work possible.
In gratitude for this commitment, a Mass will be offered each month for the intentions of Stewards and their families. AFLC is also committed to full transparency and accountability in how stewardship contributions are used.
Stewardship is more than giving—it is recognizing that each of us has something to contribute to the mission of the Church. Together, we can pass on the faith to our children by helping another couple, and person who is separated, divorced or widowed, rediscover hope, another parent or grandparent feel supported and another family know they are not alone. This is Communion. This is Participation. This is Mission.
We all have a mission! God has a dream for a new world — and He has entrusted a piece of it to you.
