A widow shares on coping with the loss of her husband
The New Beginnings Weekend has been a tremendous help to me. A friend of mine introduced me to this wonderful weekend.
 New Beginnings celebrated 25 years of ministering to the separated, divorced and widowed in the Archdiocese of Port of Spain with a one-day conference on January 12 titled, âFrom Pieces to Peaceâ. It was held at the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Centre, Caroni.
A New Beginnings Weekend is designed to help separated, divorced and widowed persons make a new beginning in life. It is a Christian movement, open to persons of all faiths, though designed by and for Catholics. It provides persons with an opportunity to discover themselves in Godâs plan.
After my husband’s death, I was struggling with this new situation that came upon me suddenly, when one Sunday while reading the Catholic News IÂ saw this advertisement inviting persons to attend a New Beginnings Experience. The words in bold capitals stood out as though lifted off the page: âARE YOU SEPARATED, DIVORCED or WIDOWED?” This is for me I thought.
